Calcium and other minerals can build up in your milk systems and equipment over time, but Urnex 19-MEC-BI12-1 Biocaf 1 liter milk frother cleaning liquid can eliminate them in just a couple of simple steps! Made with all-natural, organic, and phosphate-free ingredients, this cleaning liquid removes minerals that form in superautomatic milk systems, steam wands, and frothing pitchers.

Whether you're looking to clean your entire auto frother system or the equipment used in the milk frothing process, this cleaning liquid is the perfect solution! The measuring cap offers a convenient and controlled cleaning method with numerous uses. Each bottle contains 33.8 oz. / 1 liter of liquid that is sure to keep your milk system equipment clean!

Product Overview

Use to :

  • Remove calcium buildup from steam wands, frothing pitchers, and superautomatic milk systems

Features :

  • Made from biodegradable ingredients that are derived from natural sources.

  • Includes measuring cap for accurate dosing.
  • 1 L (33.8 oz) bottle.

Dosage :

  • For all applications, add 30 ml (1 oz) of cleaning liquid for every liter (33.8 oz) of water.

Cleaning Instructions

Steam Wands :

  • Step 1: Using your steaming pitcher, create a solution of 30 ml (1 oz) of Biocaf Milk Frother Cleaning Liquid for every 1 L (33.8 oz) of water.
  • Step 2: Insert steam wand and froth as if frothing milk.
  • Step 3: Allow wand to soak in solution for 5 minutes.
  • Step 4: Empty steaming pitcher and repeat with water to rinse.

Auto Frothers :

  • Step 1: Dissolve 30 ml (1 oz) of Biocaf Milk Frother Cleaning Liquid in 1 L (33.8 oz) of water.
  • Step 2: Insert frothing tube into solution and activate cleaning cycle.
  • Step 3: After all solution has traveled through milk lines, repeat process twice with fresh water to rinse.

Milk Pitchers :

  • Step 1: Create a solution of 30 ml (1 oz) Biocaf Milk Frother Cleaning Liquid in 1 L (33.8 oz) hot water in vessel to be cleaned.
  • Step 2: Replace lid in order to contain the cleaning solution. Allow solution to soak while also agitating or swirling.
  • Step 3: Pour out the cleaning solution through the pitcher's spout.
  • Step 4: Repeat process with fresh water to rinse.

Ingredients

Citric Acid: Derived from citrus fruits such as lemons and limes. This organic acid is used in soft drinks to add a sour taste and as a preservative in many foods we eat everyday. In this application, the acid does a great job of combating the buildup of mineral and fat deposits left behind by milk.

​Alkyl Polyglycosides: This ingredient is produced from the combination of alcohols and glucose. These sugars are derived from coconut, palm, and corn oil. This is a 100% renewable surfactant that would otherwise need to be produced from petroleum products  This ingredient helps loosen the surface tension of the water in order to release milk build-up. 

​​Cationic Surfactant: This ingredient is a strong biocidal additive that is regularly used in products designed to sanitize milk systems. In our formula, we use less than 1% as a way to enhance the cleaning effectiveness of the other ingredients. In truth, this ingredient is not considered renewable or sustainable. However, we believe it is an essential component in keeping your coffee and milk equipment clean. This is all part of the balancing process in our effort to raise the standards of environmental consciousness without sacrificing performance.

Water: All of the above is professionally dissolved in filtered water to ensure quick dilution of this concentrated formula when used to clean your equipment.

DAMAGED, LOST SHIPMENTS:

Before Shipping any products we do check the condition of product ordered. However the products that are fragile can still be damaged or broken during shipping or transit. The courier service we use or any third party couriers do not accept the responsibility of damaged fragile items or component during the transit if the products involves the glass component or is completely made of glass.
